Flexibility to change information...Our board is being used as a dashboard for what we call "Total Company Reporting". Each one of the 9 sections on the board is used to post another KPI. One may be for our scrap reports, while another lists weekly production stats or 5s progress. It actually works best that this board isn't very complex. I've been in lean for over 15 years and I know that the things you measure change over time will change. This board gives you the flexibilty to change the information you're reporting on as you progress and not be stuck with predefined headings.

Our Excellence Board...This is our Excellence Board used for posting everything having to do with our ongoing company wide projects. We have this by our front entrance, along with most of our whiteboards, so that it is highly visible to all that enter and leave the building. We like to think that this placement has an added effect of keeping people in line and due dates on schedule. . We color code based one of three project types (monetary, quality, and safety).

Convenient to have that history available...We now have Magnatag^® whiteboards installed all throughout our plant.
