Used Vehicle Planning Matrix for Auto Dealers

Increase your bottom line by carefully planning and controlling your used car inventory. With this magnetic board system you can see at a glance when you have multiple vehicles that are virtually alike tying up your money and it identifies vehicles customers are asking for but are not on your lot.
Use the 5 price-point categories across the top of the board and up to 10 vehicle type rows down the left column to organize your inventory. Be sure you have vehicles on the lot for each of these key money-making categories. An analysis of your sales and customer profile will dictate which are the "right" used vehicle types for your operation.
Write or type sales and model information for each vehicle on the large 3" x 5" magnetic cardholders, then position them on the board. Use the 10 card colors to code special model features (blue = leather, tan = new tires, etc.- create your own color-code). Kit also includes magnetic status signals in 10 colors to show "hold", etc. When a vehicle sells, simply move its magnet to the Sold / Notes column. You can also write directly on the board in 4 colors with the dry-erase pens.
This flexible graphic display will show the holes in your inventory as you send your buyer to the Tuesday auction knowing exactly what you need. Update the board Wednesday so that sales people can see what is available at a glance.
