Post and see plant maintenance work, displaying each task's plan, activity and urgency for the week with this board system. If you let employees post a maintenance task with its priority on the board as soon as they recognize its need, it makes plant maintenance tasking comprehensive, effective, fast and accurate day to day. Posting the board's usage rules does the trick. Each board kit includes a magnetic 5x8" CardJacket® to display rules and cross-reference color-codes.

We suggest these rules:
A. Post tasks daily. B. Any employee can post a plant maintenance task. C. Only the supervisor or designated lead person can plan, schedule and erase a posted task. The rules keep scheduling control in the supervisor's hands but quickly engage everyone in the process .

The boards have green. lavender, yellow and gray Urgency columns labeled 1 thru 4. Use the 2-sided FlipOver® yellow-green Do-Done™ magnet circle symbols. Post the yellow "task to do" magnet in the task's colored-urgency column and turn it over to show green with the job is done. It gives you an instant overview of the status of your week's tasks.

We suggest using the urgency column colors like this:

1. Green column = SAFETY: Any deficiency where risk to person(s) exist.
2. Lavender column = URGENT: Failure is imminent or existing. Failure will result in complete system outage.
3. Yellow column = LESS URGENT: Failure may or may not be imminent or have occurred. Failure will not result in significant system outage.
4. Gray column = LEAST URGENT: Failure is not imminent or resulting failure will not cause notable system outage.
