"Our departments take a good bit of pride in logging a few green accident-free months. Each department maintains their own SafetyCross^® board. We want departments to have ownership which happens when you locate them in a high traffic area like the primary break area for each department. Bringing the boards and the emphasis down to the department level has made our program twice as effective."

Causes people o focus more on working safely..."We've been very happy with the safety board since we purchased it early last year to keep track of our recordable injuries. Since it is kept in our main hallway, all of the workers pass by it on their way in and out of the building. It definitely causes people to focus more on working safely. We find that the system works best when we update it on a daily basis. Whenever the board is updated to reflect an injury, you always see passerbyers stopping to read the informational cards. These are used to explain what happened and what we can do to prevent against this sort of accident in the future"

Allows crews to see what is really behind the numbers..."We're a big fan of Magnatag's safety boards here. As you can see, we've purchased quite a few boards over the past couple of months. The management has their stats and record keeping, but these series of boards allow the crews to see what is really behind the numbers that are posted. While it is too early to know the impact that they'll have. I know one thing, they certainly have brought more visibility to and a higher focus on our Safety program"
