What's Hot, What's Not? Reposition magnetic Priority Numbers. 4 Board sizes, 17 to 70 jobs
Post the job on the board with the optional magnetic 1x8" cardholders in 5 colors using the card-keying template. The 10 card colors can code types of jobs or your own code. Write the changing data on the board next to the job, then just reposition the magnetic priority numbers as your schedule dictates. Use the 10 magnet signal colors to show job status. Example: red magnet = hot job must ship today, green magnet = ahead of schedule, blue = holding for materials, etc.
Real easy... At the beginning of each month, we have a meeting to pick the top 5 projects that we want to complete by month's end. We found that the Job-Priority Monitor was a great way to communicate what these top projects were as well as act as a status board for the rest of the ongoing projects. The setup makes it real easy to keep up to date. At the end of each month we remove any completed projects, put the new ones on and reorder the numbered priority magnets. This way everyone knows which projects we'll be focusing on for the next few weeks and they don't have to ask where their time should be spent.
